Big Brother Bear's Thanksgiving Feast

Jacob's class celebtrated Thanksgiving with a skit of the Mayflower landing & first Thanksgiving story. Jacob got to play an Indian, which explained all the arrow making (from different toys) that had been going on most of November!

I'm including pictures of some of his class friends.
Hope you all had a tasty Thanksgiving!

Welcome David Joseph!

David'd first picture! David Joseph arrived October 22, 2007 at 10:44 pm, on his actual due date! He weighed in at 7 lbs 11 oz & was 20 inches long. He is beautiful & has the cutest dimples! David looks a lot like Jacob. Posted by Picasa

3 Weeks

Well, it's been 3 weeks & 3 days since David made his grand (and quick) entrance and we are still trying to find a balance between all three children & their needs. Scott's mom was just here for a week & that was a great help; there were 3 adults to juggle 3 kids!

Jacob started karate the week David was born and is doing well, he seems to like it. He especially likes when he earns his "color stripes"! Some classes are better than others, it all depends on how well he can focus that particular day. He had great difficulty on the day that Grandma came to class to watch him.

Lauren is still trying to figure out where she fits into the family now that she's no longer the baby. She loves David & calls him "her" baby, she's always wanting to hold him & stick the pacifier in his mouth (yes he takes it, but not like Jacob). She likes to help get the baby's diaper when it's time to change him & stands right in front of the changing table. She's very nurturing, although not always gentle (but that will come in time).

David loves to eat & be held. He thinks I'm his personal pacifier! He's starting to fill out nicely, he has chubby little cheeks & is starting to lose his 'chicken legs'. He's a cutie - but then I'm biased. His eyes are still a deep steely blue, but Scott says he can see the brown creeping in... He has my chin (both boys do!) and so far his hair is rather light & appears a bit wavy (but it's still early & considering the color changes the other two have undertaken, I'll just wait & see). This next week should be interesting since he just spent a week being held whenever he wanted. Grandma did her job well while she was here, everyone got spoiled!

Scott's been working a lot, which is good. He's still working through the list of house projects so that we can get the house on the market & get moved out to Washington. He's got a lot on his plate, but has still found time to bond with David - even if David furrows his brow at daddy lots (just like his mama!).

I'm trying to manage David's appetite & still get a few chores done. It's hard to believe that I'll be back at work in 2 weeks & 2 days.... I'm sad, I like being home with my sweet baby. I have no idea how December will go with the long commute, the work that has piled up in my absence, the work to be done for year-end, and a new baby! If I can get Christmas cards done before I go back to work they'll go out; if not, it will be the third year in a row that none get sent.
